 One of the most surprising shows at London Fashion Week (Fall 2013) was Rihanna for River Island. The very first official collection by our favourite Barbadian PopStar.

Rihanna actually inspired and designed a full collection for the British Clothing Label ...

 

Rihanna claimed in a pre-show promotional video that her collection was “casual”, “chic” and “flirty” ; Fashion and press Gurus had a very different point of view on her fashion show , however .  

Tom Syke from the Daily Beast called it "Hideous" " Porny" "Horror show" , saying:

"Rihanna's show was a tiresome, underwhelming and uninspired marketing exercise. The clothes were hideous and without an ounce of panache or style between them. It was like Fright Night in Kmart."

Rebecca Adams of the Huffington Post Talks about Riri being an hour late at her own fashion show and about her clothes showing too much skin : " We know timeliness isn't de rigueur during fashion week, but making attendees wait a whole hour? [...]Nipple-baring, crotch-flashing mesh outfits and bra tops aren't exactly what a stylish girl wants to throw on for a casual night out. "

Not being a big Rihanna fan/hater my opinion is that , the collection is quite cool . I would not wear all of the clothes (not really my style) but some yes (???  like the pink see-through shirt above) . I think it would be fine to mix Rihanna clothes with other stuff , to avoid the Rihanna Look-alike effect .

I think the idea behind the collection was to create something 200% Rihanna , for her fans and stuff and I think they did it great ! I can really see Rihanna wearing every single piece of the collection . Now it's really up to the people , but I dont find it that "Horrible" .
That's Rihanna typical " I dont give a f*ck " attitude .
