Lire en FrançaisAs an Ivorian blogger , the first thing that captured my attention was the name. The label’s name originates from the "Dent* de Man", a tooth-shaped mountain in the West of Ivory Coast . ("Dent" is the French word for "Tooth") .
DENT de M?N is a menswear brand with the core purpose of providing sartorial elegance through classic African printed suits and trousers. They design sophisticated trousers suits with 70s Vintage African Wax fabrics .
The prints are bold , with vibrant colors and the clothes can be styled to suit the wearer's personnality and mood. The brand seeks to mix traditional menswear tailoring and soulful print choices for the contemporary gentleman with style.
According to Chris Chasseaud, the label's Brand manager :" DENT de M?N man has the confidence to stand out but without the arrogance of a showman ".
I love their aesthetic , their imaginary , the quircky names for the suits … ( Coris , Piments , Jardin secret ...) .Really African-oriented , really in-depth.
I wished us African people could value our culture this much and develop great concepts like this one out of it . I really hope , this time is coming , meanwhile : Let us enjoy DENT de M?N‘s fantastic outfits.
I love how the clothes are blod , funny and creative . And the idea of a men oriented African-inspired label is good one ! (Other labels of the kind focus on womenswear) ; It pays to think out of the box !
