Wax & Stripes - Stella Jean SS2013

I think I’m in love , guys !

You know what ? I don’t wear African Fabrics often ( Im going to change this - part of my new year resolutions ) The reason is , I used to think : Ooh it’s so boring ! Aint nobody got time for that !
Don’t judge me  anyway , it had something to see with the actual African way of wearing African fabrics , the way I saw almost all of the women around me wear it …. ( I write an article about this later). It was so “formal” , “regular” , almost like a uniform , something only ladies a certain age were supposed to wear .

But now when I see the pieces out of this collection , it’s so different , refreshing , it is the perfect way to wear African fabrics for a young lady . It’s fancy , with vibrant colors and odd/funny mixes .

Like : wax with stripes , it’s the kind of thing you would never see in the regular way of wearing wax here in Africa ; it’s usually wax + wax ( same fabric) or wax + some monochrome fabric .
To me this prints + prints styling is pure inspiration .

This new collection by Italo-Haitian designer Stella Jean is all about sophistication and “Tribal Vanguard ”  , People with strong fashion taste only !

Would you buy it ? Wear it ?
Do you think of any other quirky way to wear Wax  or African Fabrics in general ?
