I've noticed that quite a few of my last posts have featured an outfit with a skirt and bare legs. 

I guess it's my way of trying to hold on to summer. 

But who can blame me? Posting this photo of Olivia Palermo walking around in New York, wearing a pleated mini skirt teamed with a graphic shirt that I desperately need to get my hands on, was to good to pass up.

Autumn is my favourite season when it comes to clothes and styling as I la-la-love the whole layering thing. T-shirts, open shirts, knitted cardigans and loose coats all in the same outfit? Oh yes please!

However, these last few weeks, as summer has transitioned into autumn, I've noticed that I'm trying to hold on to summer for dear life. In the September issue of Elle France I found a few tips on how to combine these two seasons which work both if you're going from winter to spring or summer to autumn. Team your denim shorts with basic t-shirts and chunky cardigans (and wear a pair of tights underneath), wear short dresses in warmer materials and throw a cozy poncho over your shoulders.
